Projects

HYDRANT & VALVE PROJECT - Have you seen the new valve signs going in around our service area? In an effort to have better information about our distribution system, we hired a contractor to number every hydrant and every valve. We're updating our maps so that when we have a leak, we can shut down just the affected area instead of the entire system. Both the hydrant tags and the valve signs are numbered and are visible from the street which will save time when dealing with service interruptions. We know the signs aren't pretty, but they are necessary so our field personnel can quickly find a valve to turn the water off when there is a leak and quickly turn the water back on once the leak is repaired. Please don't pull the signs out of the ground. If you have any questions regarding this project, please let us know. Thank you for helping us serve you better.

150,000-GALLON GROUND STORAGE TANK - Due to the growth in our system the last few years, the Board of Directors approved the building of a new ground storage tank at our pump station location. Construction should begin in Fall 2019 and be complete by Spring 2020. This new tank will ensure Markout WSC Members have the capacity necessary under TCEQ rules in case of a no water emergency.
